The new directors are Jannie Davel from MSC Cargo, Martin Drew from Atlas Air, Diogo Elias from Avianca Cargo, Dirk Goovaerts from Swissport International, Boon Kiam Kuah from SATS, and Nichole Schulz from UPS. Tiaca aims to represent a wide range of air cargo stakeholders, with a diverse board made up of representatives from airlines, handlers, airports, forwarders, IT platforms, and GSAs.
Geographically, the board members come from various regions, including Europe, the Americas, Asia, India, the Middle East, and Africa. Glyn Hughes, the director general of Tiaca, emphasized the importance of strong leadership in 2024 as the association works towards supporting industry initiatives such as BlueSky, Invest in Climate Action, and the Air Cargo Training Library.
The board is also preparing for the upcoming Air Cargo Forum in Miami, scheduled for November 11-14, which is expected to attract thousands of participants for networking and business opportunities. Additionally, the board has directed the secretariat to expand other Tiaca programs that address industry challenges and advocate for a safe, efficient, and sustainable air cargo industry.
