Maersk has promoted John Wetherell to the position of global head of airfreight forwarding, moving up from his previous role as regional head of airfreight for North America. Wetherell has been with Maersk for two and a half years, joining from Ceva Logistics where he served as SVP airfreight for North America. Prior to that, he held the position of VP global air product at Uti Worldwide.
Taking over Wetherell’s previous role at Maersk is Brent Mayhew, who also comes from Ceva Logistics. Mayhew has been Maersk’s head of air freight operations & client experience for North America for the past two years, following a two-year tenure at Ceva. He has also held roles at Kuehne + Nagel, DHL Global Forwarding, and Panalpina.
