Kerry Logistics boosts efficiency with KoolBee robot
Kerry Logistics Network has successfully implemented a sorting robot known as KoolBee at multiple locations across Asia in response to the increasing demand in e-commerce. The introduction of these robots at facilities in Hong Kong, Tianjin, and Dongguan has resulted in a significant improvement in productivity and accuracy.
Through the utilization of KoolBee, Kerry Logistics Network has seen a remarkable 270% increase in overall sorting productivity. The flexibility and efficiency of these robots allow for quick deployment, reconfiguration, and scalability, offering a more accessible and flexible solution compared to traditional fixed automation methods.
Samuel Lau, the managing director of integrated logistics North Asia at Kerry Logistics Network, emphasized the importance of staying ahead in the evolving fashion e-commerce industry and meeting customers’ expectations for fast deliveries. KoolBee is part of the company’s ‘Kool’ robotics initiative aimed at optimizing sorting operations and enhancing order fulfillment efficiency based on each customer’s specific requirements.
The success of KoolBee in handling large volumes of orders during seasonal peaks and promotional events has led Kerry Logistics Network to consider implementing this technology for other customers and industries in the future. The company remains committed to integrating advanced technologies to enhance its logistics operations and meet the ever-changing demands of the market.
