IGA selects Kale for innovative cargo system
Istanbul Grand Airport (IGA) has chosen Kale Logistics Solutions to implement a cargo community system that will streamline communication between various stakeholders. The Airport Kargo Paydaş Platformu (KPP), developed in partnership with TroyNet, will centralize cargo-related information for airlines, cargo agents, handlers, customs, and security agencies. This system is expected to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, lower costs, and optimize asset utilization.
Selahattin Bilgen, İGA’s deputy chief executive, expressed optimism about the system’s potential to boost digital trade, improve business processes, and accelerate cargo movements at minimal expense. Istanbul plays a crucial role as an air cargo hub, and the introduction of KPP marks a significant advancement in delivering top-notch services to customers and partners.
Vineet Malhotra, director and co-founder of Kale Logistics Solutions, highlighted the company’s expertise in supporting airports in becoming smart logistics hubs through their vast industry experience. This collaboration signifies a commitment to advancing Istanbul’s air cargo network.
Furthermore, this initiative complements the airport’s growth plans, with FedEx Express also making strides by constructing its own facility at Istanbul Airport. These developments underscore Istanbul’s position as a key player in the global air cargo industry.
