IAG Cargo Resumes London-Abu Dhabi Service After Four-Year Hiatus

04.04.24, London: IAG Cargo, the cargo division of International Airlines Group (IAG), has announced the launch of its summer schedule, which includes increased services between its core hubs in London, Madrid, Barcelona, and Dublin to key destinations worldwide.

Under the new schedule, services between London Heathrow (LHR) and Abu Dhabi (AUH) will resume on April 20th after a four-year break. The route will be served by a Boeing 787-9 widebody aircraft and is part of a 19% increase in weekly rotations to Africa and the Middle East.

In addition, there will be a 9% increase in capacity on key transatlantic routes to Latin America and the Caribbean. This includes three additional services per week to Buenos Aires (EZE) and up to four additional services per week to Sao Paulo (GRU) from Madrid. There will also be double the weekly services between London Heathrow and San Diego (SAN) and an extra seven flights per week to Chicago (ORD). IAG Cargo has also introduced a new service between Barcelona and Miami (MIA).

IAG Cargo offers capacity to six continents from London with over 600 weekly wide-body services. Dublin serves as a gateway to North America with more than 80 weekly wide-body rotations. Additionally, Madrid and Barcelona now offer over 240 weekly wide-body services connecting destinations across North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
