“Hong Kong Port Declines as Air Freight Business Soars”

The decline of Hong Kong port is a well-documented issue, but its air freight hub business is thriving. Stephanie Loomis, Rhenus’ director of North America, noted in a recent Loadstar podcast that shippers are increasingly bypassing Hong Kong in favor of other ports like Shenzhen and Yantian. She emphasized that Hong Kong’s future lies in air freight, along with Beijing and its local port Tianjin.
