“Hactl Introduces Security Robots for Improved Safety”
Hactl is implementing a new security initiative by introducing robot patrols at its SuperTerminal 1 facility in Hong Kong. The first security robot will focus on monitoring car and truck parking areas, as well as export goods handling areas. Operating mainly during the night, the robot will also be available during daylight hours as needed.
Equipped with advanced technology such as thermal imaging and high-resolution cameras, LiDar sensors, and ultrasonic sensors, the security robots will enhance anti-theft measures and provide video evidence in case of incidents. This move aims to strengthen Hactl’s security program and improve overall safety.
Wilson Kwong, Hactl’s CEO, emphasized that the robots will supplement the existing CCTV system, offering additional surveillance angles. By deploying these robots, Hactl aims to optimize its security operations and allocate human resources more efficiently to respond to security incidents promptly.
This is not the first time Hactl has integrated robotics into its operations. Previously, the company introduced sanitization robots during the pandemic to safeguard its workforce and launched a robotic Automated Parts Store to facilitate the dispensing of urgent spare parts for its automated handling systems.
Overall, the introduction of security robots is a significant step forward in enhancing Hactl’s security measures and demonstrating its commitment to maintaining a high level of safety and security in its operations.
