Geodis has recently enhanced its temperature-controlled pharmaceutical shipment capabilities in Europe by achieving IATA’s Center of Excellence for Independent Validators in Pharmaceutical Logistics (CEIV Pharma) certification for its Copenhagen, Denmark site. This certification marks Geodis’ 28th CEIV Pharma certified site across its global network, spanning the Americas, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe.

Kent Husted, the managing director of Geodis Denmark, highlighted Denmark’s prominence in pharmaceutical research, development, and production, emphasizing the stringent quality requirements and supplier selection criteria in the industry. Choosing the IATA CEIV Pharma Certification for GEODIS Denmark aligns with the company’s commitment to being a trusted growth partner and ensuring high-quality services for its customers.

At the Copenhagen site, Geodis offers a cross-dock service with temperature ranges of +2°C to +8°C and +15°C to +25°C, supported by air, ocean, and road transport solutions. The location’s proximity to Copenhagen airport and ocean port facilities enhances logistical capabilities for pharmaceutical shipments.

Geodis’ recent investments in pharma operations include obtaining CEIV Pharma certifications for various sites in Asia, Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, and Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, among others.

The IATA CEIV Pharma certification validates Geodis’ facilities, equipment, operations, and personnel’s compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards, ensuring safe, secure, and efficient handling of pharmaceutical products. Geodis continues to prioritize growth and innovation in its pharma logistics services to meet the evolving needs of the air cargo supply chain.
