Europa Air & Sea Launches New Weekly Ocean Freight Service to GCC
Europa Air & Sea, a specialist in ocean freight shipping, has announced the launch of a new weekly consolidated ocean freight service between the UK and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). This service offers customers a cost-effective, efficient, and reliable option for transporting less than container loads (LCL).
The service will operate from London Gateway Port to Jebel Ali port in Dubai, using Europa’s own consolidation containers for a seamless door-to-port and door-to-door movement of goods. Deliveries from Dubai will extend to Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
With customs support available at both ends of the journey, Europa’s scheduled and secure service aims to better connect manufacturers, distributors, and retailers exporting and importing within the GCC to their UK markets. The service, managed by Europa’s in-house teams on a weekly basis, ensures customers benefit from efficient and competitive freight movement.
Europa Air & Sea expanded into the GCC region in June 2022, following growth opportunities in sectors like retail, aerospace, and aircraft maintenance. The company has also expanded into Delhi, India, and recently opened a second office in Shenzhen, China.
Nathan Lynn, General Manager for Europa Air & Sea in the UAE and India, emphasized the importance of providing infrastructure to facilitate the growing trade demands between the GCC and the UK. He highlighted key areas such as customer service, customs solutions, IT investment, transit times, and freight costs, which Europa’s new weekly LCL consolidated ocean freight service addresses.
The new service is part of Europa Air & Sea’s ongoing investments, including the deployment of LeoWeb, a platform for real-time tracking, order management, and online quote requests. Angus Hind, Director of Europa Air & Sea, highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation and adaptability in challenging market conditions, aiming to streamline customers’ supply chains and enhance accessibility to new markets.
Europa Worldwide Group, the parent company of Europa Air & Sea, is an independent logistics operator with three divisions and has been recognized in The Sunday Times Top Track 250 for three consecutive years.
