DSV to Close DB Schenker Acquisition in Q2 2025!
DSV CEO Jens Lund announced that the company is set to finalize its acquisition of DB Schenker from Deutsche Bahn in the second quarter of 2025. He highlighted the milestone agreement reached in the third quarter of 2024, which involved raising €5 billion in equity from various long-term investors for the acquisition. Lund expressed excitement about integrating Schenker into DSV to create a top-tier transport and logistics enterprise with a global reach and advanced services for customers.
Anticipating continued growth, Lund emphasized DSV’s commitment to expanding its business through both organic and inorganic means, with mergers and acquisitions playing a key role in the company’s strategy. The third quarter of 2024 saw positive earnings growth for DSV, driven by increased volume and higher gross profit across its divisions. While airfreight gross profit experienced a slight decline due to lower yields, the Air & Sea forwarding division saw overall growth with rising volumes and market share gains.
Despite challenging market conditions, DSV’s road activities delivered consistent results. The company has revised its full-year EBIT forecast upwards to a range of DKK16,000-17,000 million, reflecting its strong performance and growth prospects.
