DP World Appoints Peter Dyeremose for Airfreight
DP World has named Peter Dyeremose as the senior director of airfreight for the Americas in an effort to enhance growth in its airfreight forwarding services in the region. With over 25 years of experience in logistics and airfreight, Dyeremose brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, having previously worked at Mainfreight Inc. where he oversaw airfreight operations and managed global agent partnerships across the Americas.
In addition to Dyeremose, DP World has appointed Philip Blumenthal as the senior director of ocean freight. Terry Donohoe, senior vice president of freight forwarding for the Americas at DP World, expressed excitement about the new additions, stating that their expertise will drive growth in the ocean and air freight sectors, taking DP World’s freight forwarding business to new heights.
These appointments come as DP World invests heavily in its freight forwarding services to create more integrated end-to-end solutions. The company has opened over 150 new freight forwarding offices globally since mid-2023, with 20 of these located in the Americas. Most recently, DP World launched a freight forwarding office in Panama City and began airfreight operations at its air cargo logistics hub in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
