DB Schenker has enhanced its API connections with airlines to streamline the cargo booking process by partnering with Emirates SkyCargo. Through a host-to-host connection with DB Schenker’s internal booking platform, agents now have direct access to Emirates SkyCargo’s schedules, standard and contract tariff rates, available capacity, and extensive network of over 140 destinations spanning six continents. The initial launch of this connection will focus on Germany, Austria, and Switzerland before expanding globally.
This service will initially allow agents to book general cargo, with the potential to include other products from Emirates SkyCargo in the future. Over the past year, DB Schenker has been actively increasing its digital connections with airlines. The forwarder already has API connections with American Airlines Cargo, Lufthansa Cargo, Cargolux, and most recently, Cathay Cargo. The collaboration between Cathay Cargo and DB Schenker through API integration further emphasizes the company’s commitment to modernizing and optimizing its cargo operations.
