£4 million invested in new facility with Daikin’s expansion of GXO’s logistics solution
LONDON, U.K., April 17, 2024 – Daikin, a leading player in the heating, cooling, and ventilation industry, has officially opened its new Midlands warehouse in Daventry for outbound deliveries. This initiative is a result of a 17-year partnership with GXO, the world’s largest pure-play contract logistics provider.
Situated in the Midlands within the U.K.’s logistics “golden triangle”, Daikin and GXO have jointly invested over £4 million to consolidate their operations into a single facility. The new 240,000-square-foot warehouse will cater exclusively to Daikin’s U.K. products and spares, creating over 75 new job opportunities for the local community.
Sherin Hammad, Head of Operations at Daikin U.K., expressed excitement about the new warehouse, highlighting its ability to meet customer demands while reducing environmental impact. With the fast-growing market for heat pumps and commercial HVAC products, Daikin aims to stay ahead by enhancing its operational capabilities.
