“CMA CGM and GTS Join Forces for Greener Logistics”

A new commercial joint venture has been formed between CMA CGM, a global leader in sea, land, air, and logistics solutions, and GTS General Transport Service, a prominent Italian intermodal company. This partnership aims to provide reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly transportation and logistics services in Italy and throughout Europe.

The joint venture, known as the European Container Network, will leverage the expertise and resources of both companies to offer innovative and sustainable transportation solutions to businesses utilizing containers in the region. By utilizing GTS’ assets, expertise, and network in Italy and other European countries, combined with CMA CGM’s global shipping capabilities, the joint venture will provide integrated door-to-door transportation services, improving efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.

A key focus of the partnership will be to expand multimodal transportation options, optimize supply chain processes, and drive innovation in the transportation industry. Sustainability is a top priority, with a commitment to implementing eco-friendly practices and technologies to minimize environmental impact.

While initially concentrating on the Italian market, the joint venture intends to rapidly expand its operations across Europe. This collaboration represents a significant milestone for both companies, demonstrating their dedication to delivering sustainable and reliable supply chain solutions. With a shared vision for the future, GTS and CMA CGM are committed to providing value-added services that set new standards of excellence in the industry.
