“Air France KLM Martinair Cargo and GTS Group Extend Sustainable Aviation Fuel Collaboration”

Air France KLM Martinair Cargo (AFKLMP) and the Global Transport Solutions (GTS) Group, which includes Marinetrans and Best Global Logistics (BGL), are excited to announce the extension of their partnership on AFKLMP’s Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) program.

This collaboration demonstrates a shared dedication to sustainability and supports GTS’s Going Green initiative. By working together, AFKLMP and GTS are actively contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions in the logistics and airfreight industry, setting a positive example for others to follow.

The SAF program by AFKLMP is leading the way in finding sustainable aviation solutions through innovative partnerships and forward-thinking initiatives. By reaffirming their commitment to sustainability, AFKLMP and GTS highlight the significant impact of the SAF program in making air cargo logistics more environmentally friendly.

John Burgstra, co-CEO of Global Transport Solutions, expressed his satisfaction with the partnership, emphasizing their joint effort to reduce the impact of aviation on the environment. GertJan Roelands, SVP Commercial at Air France KLM Martinair Cargo, echoed this sentiment and commended GTS for their leadership in sustainability.

Since pioneering the first SAF program in the airfreight industry in 2022, AFKLMP has collaborated with over 60 stakeholders and implemented various solutions to further decrease carbon emissions. They remain committed to making a difference and taking action to address this critical issue.

The SAF program by Air France KLM Martinair Cargo allows stakeholders in the logistics and airfreight sector to power a portion of their flights with SAF. Customers have the flexibility to choose their level of engagement, and AFKLMP ensures that their investment is used solely for sourcing SAF. By participating in the program, customers not only reduce their carbon footprint but also demonstrate their commitment to driving the industry towards a more sustainable future.
